The food is excellent, they fried the chicken hard like it and the Mac n cheese was great and the collard greens was ssssoooo good as well. Will definitely come back again. This was on there 10 special menu.
I was presently surprised while visiting Rochester to see this nostalgic staple in the community! G&G used to be on the corner of North Ave and Hudson Ave and had unparalleled steak submarines! This new location offers a more polished appearance. While the sub isn't quite like the 1990s, it was still amazing and full of flavor. Be careful, though, Prefer the sauce separately because you'll open your sandwich to soggy bread soaked in their signature G&G sauce. (I think they used to use Boss Sauce before, but whatever!) This is a must go restaurant!
OMG, I was desperate for a steak sub. You know that feeling when you want something and it keeps swirling through your head. I had a steak sub on my mind for 3 days. The feeling was not going to go away until I satisfied the craving. Normally, I would get a steak bomber if I am on the Westside, but I am not sure the last time they were even open. I did a search of the area and this place popped up. I have never had a more amazing steak sub. The staff were friendly, the place was clean and I love the family photo on the wall. I highly recommend the steak sub with onions, banana peppers and mozzarella!
I finally decided to try G&G after hearing great things from friends and family—and I’m so glad I did. I stopped in on Friday just to give it a shot, and I was blown away. I had a 6PC with Fries and it is absolutely incredible—crispy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. I honestly thought maybe the cook was just having an exceptionally good day, so I had to test it again. I went back on Saturday, and to my surprise, Chef Mike outdid himself again! The food was just as phenomenal as the first time, proving that this place isn’t just good—it’s consistently amazing. On top of that, the service was outstanding, making the entire experience even better. If you haven’t been to G&G yet, do yourself a favor and go. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed!

First time we'd ever heard of this place, so I tried the Mandela burger and it was incredible. I've never even seen that kind of a burger/philly cheesesteak hybrid before, all I know is that it's good (I got hot peppers and mild sauce - perfect amount of kick)! The atmosphere is great too, it actually feels like a place you want to be! Definitely going back next time we're in the area.
I have been patronizing G & G since I was a child/teen. They are back and I couldnt be more excited. The food is amazing still. Impeccable customer service, friendly, and welcoming all the down to the on site security. Go get you a steak sub and 1 wings tuesday! You wont be disappointed!
